Amore Lampshades is based in Adelaide, South Australia providing a custom lampshade service in both traditional styled lampshades and the more modern bonded lampshade construction. All lampshades are individually hand crafted by the owner and Manager, Laura Centofanti, providing you with a custom lampshade high in quality, workmanship and attention to detail. All lampshades are made using quality products and Australian manufactured wire ware. Amore Lampshades has been in business since 2010 and continues to expand its client base with designers, architects and private clients. In 2023 Laura has diversified the business to include Lampshade Making Workshops (presently only Bonded Lampshade construction) Lampshade Kits, Lampshade Supplies and patterns while she continues to work on lampshade commissions.

Laura's background: 

A craft pursuit born from not being able to find a lampshade I wanted for my own home, little did I know at the time it would turn out to be the creative outlet I desired in my life.  From the very beginning my focus on lampshade making has been to look back on and research the traditions of the craft and to bring that into my own work. Being self-taught in the craft but having a back ground in sewing, studying Fashion and Design in my younger years, lampshade making encompassed a lot of the skills and textile knowledge I had learnt but never used in my working career.  Quality of workmanship and attention to detail are evident in all my work, it is in innate part of my craft, that I want every piece to evoke an appreciation of my time and skill of the craft. Many projects I produce have hours of detail, others might be quite simple in construction, but producing a lampshade high in quality is paramount to my business.  I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your lampshade projects! :)
