Introduction to Bonded, Rolled Edged Lampshades
 
GROUP BOOKING - MIN 6/MAX 8 people.  If you are a group of friends/family members who wish to book a workshop for yourselves only - please email me directly to enquire further - info@amorelampshades.com or phone 0400 080 123.  These will be run at Abbode Interiors - with dates to be determined through 2025.
 
In this 3-3.5 hour workshop you will make and take home your own lampshade!  Learn the professional techniques in making bonded rolled edges lampshades from accomplished lampshade maker, Laura of Amore Lampshades who has been making lampshades for the last 15 years.
 
You will have the choice of making either a Drum or Tapered lampshade (various sizes offered, see below).  All components needed to make the lampshade will be supplied, excluding the fabric.  There will be a selection of beautiful designer fabrics available on the day to purchase from Sarah Drayton and Walter G, or you can bring along your own fabric (an information leaflet will be emailed to you with further details regarding fabrics once you register).
 
When:    Date to be determined, usually run on a Saturday at 2.30pm-6pm (approximately)
Where:   Abbode Interiors, 148 Magill Road, Norwood, Adelaide, South Australia, 5067
 
If you wish to purchase fabric for your lampshade, please arrive from 2pm in preparation for a 2.30pm start.
 
You will make and take home either a Drum (straight sided) or Tapered Bonded rolled edged lampshade of the dimensions from the following choice: 
 
Drum Lampshade: Bottom diameter: 35cm by Height: 25cm
Drum Lampshade: Bottom diameter: 38cm by Height: 27cm
Drum Lampshade: Bottom diameter: 40cm by Height: 29cm
 
Tapered Lampshade: Bottom diameter: 35cm by Height: 25cm
Tapered Lampshade: Bottom diameter: 38cm by Height: 25cm
 
Mid Century Style: Bottom diameter: 33cm by Height: 35cm
 
 
On booking, if you are unsure of what size lampshade you want to make, simply choose and pay for a Drum lampshade 35cm and we can choose another size lampshade once you arrive at the workshop and view the lampshade samples.
 
Lampshade kits will also be available for purchase on the day if you wish to make another matching lampshade to suit the one made on the day, or another of your choice.  You can view further details on the lampshade kits available, visit www.amorelampshades.com/shop for further details.

Booking Policy:
Workshops will run with minimum 6/maximum of 8 people and is suitable for ages 16 years and over.
Please be mindful that there is no seating, the work tables are at standing level.
No prior experience necessary.
Light refreshments are included.
